Four categories · 47 individual checks · weighted by impact on Google ranking and AI engine citation rate.
Sample of 1,200+ dealer site audits we've run since launching the tool. Your site probably has at least three of these.
VDPs without proper Schema.org/Vehicle markup can't appear in Google rich vehicle results and can't be cited by AI engines. We see this on most legacy CMS platforms.
FAQPage schema is the fastest path to AI engine citation — ChatGPT and Perplexity specifically look for it when answering shopper questions. Most dealer sites have zero.
AI engines and Google's helpful-content systems both prefer question-form H2s. "About Our Service" ranks worse than "How long does an oil change take?"
"Visit our service center" doesn't get cited. "Visit Zee Motors service center in Dallas, TX" does — same for Keller Ford in Detroit and FAM Vans in the Pacific Northwest. AI engines extract named entities to power answers.
On mobile, tap-to-call links (tel: protocol) convert 4× better than displayed numbers. Half of dealer sites are losing this for no reason.
The Google Knowledge Panel and AI engine "what time does X close" answers require openingHours in Schema.org/AutoDealer markup. Missing this is missing free citations.
The audit reads the same pages Google's crawlers read. Nothing behind a login. Nothing private.
The audit scores your site across four categories:
Schema markup (12 checks) — Vehicle, Offer, AutoDealer, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, LocalBusiness, AggregateRating, Person, Service, Product, ItemList, Question.
AEO readiness (12 checks) — question-form H2s, answer-ready paragraphs, citation-ready content blocks, FAQ density, semantic HTML.
Technical SEO (12 checks) — Core Web Vitals, mobile, indexability, sitemap, robots.txt, internal linking, page speed.
Conversion path (11 checks) — CTA placement, form friction, phone visibility, hours, location, financing presence.
Under 60 seconds in 94% of cases. The audit crawls a representative sample of your site — typically 8–12 pages including homepage, two VDPs, one SRP, the contact page, and the financing page — runs all 47 checks in parallel, and produces a score with category breakdown.
Larger sites with complex inventory can take up to 90 seconds.
No credit card, no login, no contract. Just your dealer site's domain.
After the audit completes, we'll ask for an email if you want the detailed PDF report — but the headline score and category breakdown are visible to you immediately, regardless of whether you provide an email.
Genuinely free. We run audits because they're how we identify dealers who could benefit from the DealersGear platform — but only about 1 in 8 audit-takers ever ends up as a customer, and that's fine.
No sales call is required to see your results. If you do want to talk after seeing the score, we'll show you a calendar. If not, you keep the report and we never bother you again.
